RYAN LAZARUS
Ryan comes from an international investment banking and entrepreneurial background. Ryan, co-founder and Director of RM Capital has a BSC (Finance) from the University of Utah (USA) – Magna Cum Laude. As an analyst in the mergers and acquisitions division at Morgan Stanley New York, he gained insight into complex and high-level funding transactions and valuations. Ryan co-founded Blackheath Loans and First Provincial Credit in London, UK where for both companies he sourced, negotiated and structured fundraising deals and set up all the systems and processes to extend millions of Pounds of loans successfully into the UK consumer market with very low bad debt rates. He funded, managed and grew a number of other businesses in the UK ( Your Gold for Cash, amongst others) and South Africa ( Other Mother Music/Songs, amongst others), with many having been successfully sold to third parties. Ryan was CEO of RM Capital for 4 years and grew the book 100%+ year on year for 3 years consecutively with very low bad debt rates.
MARK NURICK
Mark comes from a finance and accounting background with experience in New York and South Africa. Mark co-founder and Director of RM Capital has a BCompt (Hons) Accounting and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. At Deloitte and Touche in New York, he concentrated on the preparation of valuation analysis’ and financial forecasts for a number of high-level NYSE and NASDAQ companies. Mark gained further experience in audit planning, budgeting, execution and management with a number of businesses in various industries including AVIS, Jackson Hewitt and The Cedent Group. He has investment exposure with American and JSE listed companies and USA distressed debt and credit opportunity hedge funds.
JOEL SHOOT
Joel comes from a legal and international trade finance background, and is a director of RM Capital. As a practicing attorney specialising in commercial law and litigation, he is actively involved in creating and structuring funding transactions for RM Capital. Joel has been exposed to a wide array of commercial funding transactions. He has served as legal advisor to a USA nationwide industry products company and has experience in the international trade finance arena, having been involved in securing long term funding for muti-national companies for production, and infrastructure and development in China and in Africa. In RM Capital, Joel extends his legal and finance experience in customising funding structures as an alternative to mainstream banks.
